ASBA Announces New Officers and Directors

FOREST HILL, MD –The American Sports Builders Association (ASBA), the national organization for builders, designers and suppliers of materials for athletic facilities, has announced the election of new members of its Board of Directors.

Announcement of the new officers and directors was made at the Association’s Technical Meeting, recently held in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nearly 700 industry members attended the meeting, and the trade show included 60-plus exhibitors.

Paul Nagle, CTB, is the new Track Division President. Nagle, who previously served on the Board as a representative of the Association’s Builder Division, is with Nagle Athletic Surfaces, Inc., of Syracuse, New York. He is a Certified Track Builder as well as a longtime speaker at ASBA’s meetings.

Randy Resley was re-elected to the position of President of the Courts and Recreation Division. Resley, who was appointed to the newly-created office of the division last year, works at Sport Court of the Rockies in Highland Ranch, Colorado.

Megan Buczynski, PE, LEED AP, was re-elected to serve as President of the Professional Division. Buczynski, who works with Activitas, Inc., in Dedham, Massachusetts, has also served on the Board as a representative of the Professional Division and has contributed to Association projects and publications.

Kirk Grego, CFB, of Mid-America Golf & Landscape in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, is the Association’s Secretary/Treasurer.

Newly-elected Board of Directors to represent the Builder Division are Joe Covington of Covington Flooring Company in Birmingham, Alabama; and Jordan Fisher, CTB, of Fisher Tracks, Inc., of Boone, Iowa.

ASBA’s Supplier Division also elected two new Directors: David Burke of NGI Sports in Chattanooga, Tennessee; and Tracy Lynch of Har-Tru Sports in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Continuing on the Board in his present position of Chairman is Kristoff Eldridge, CTB, of Cape & Island Tennis & Track in Pocasset, Massachusetts. Mark Heinlein, CFB, of Turf Reclamation Solutions, LLC, is Chairman-Elect; he will continue in the position of Fields Division President.

Matt Strom, CTCB, of Leslie Coatings, Inc., in Indianapolis, Indiana, will continue as President of the Tennis Division. David Moxley of Sportsfield Specialties, Inc., in Delhi, New York, will also remain on the Board in the position of Supplier Division President.

Individuals remaining on the Board of Directors in their current positions are Builder Directors David Clapp, CTB, CTCB (Baseline Sports Construction, Knoxville, Tennessee), Todd Dettor (Fast-Dry Courts, Inc. & 10-S Tennis Supply, Pompano Beach, Florida), Jameson Sheley, CFB-S (Byrne & Jones Sports Construction, Bridgeton, Missouri) and Dale Hendrickson (TD Sports, Inc.-Sport Court of Southern California, Simi Valley, California). Chris Sullivan, RLA (Verde Design, Inc., Folsom, California) will remain on the Board in the position of Professional Division Director.

Officers and Directors concluding their terms were also honored at the Technical Meeting in Scottsdale.

The ASBA is a non-profit association helping designers, builders, owners, operators and users understand quality sports facility construction. The ASBA sponsors informative meetings, publishes newsletters, books and technical construction guidelines for tennis courts, sports fields, running tracks and court and recreational facilities, and keeps its members aware of the latest developments in the industry.
