NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--AMVAC Environmental Products is offering an early order program for golf industry professionals effective from August 20 through December 1, 2018. The program offers superintendents discounts and rebates on new products as well as several of AMVAC’s most popular and effective products for golf course maintenance.

“Superintendents continue to operate under tight budgets, and we wanted to give them the opportunity to purchase products they’ll need for their courses – fungicides, insecticides and herbicides – at discounts that will help them stretch their money a little further,” said Jeff Alvis, business manager for AMVAC Environmental Products. “The more they buy, the more they save.”

Products in the rebate program include what AMVAC calls its “Four-Season Solution” – two fungicides, Premion and Previa. Golf course superintendents can use these two products in rotation all year round to prevent turf diseases without encountering resistance issues.

Now available at $10 per gallon discount, Premion is a premix of PCNB (FRAC group 14) and tebuconazole (FRAC group 3). Premion’s PCNB has been proven extremely effective against snow mold in 36 trials over a five-year timeframe. It’s also effective against anthracnose, dollar spot and brown patch. The fungicide’s tebunconazole delivers broad spectrum control and adds another MOA for effective resistance management. Previa is a new formulation of chlorothalonil (FRAC group M5) that field trials have also proven is an effective and trusted performer in fungicide rotation programs.

Other AMVAC products that superintendents can purchase through the early order program include Turfcide and FF IIIfungicides, Wisdom Flowable insecticide, Surepyc and Scepter herbicides and Nuvan Prostrips to prevent insect infestations in enclosed spaces like irrigation control boxes and maintenance sheds.

“Golf course superintendents need the ability to plan ahead, taking their available space and budget into consideration,” Alvis said. “Our early order program is designed to give them that ability while also providing them with effective products at an outstanding value. However, superintendents who purchase products from our program will not just get great deals; they’ll also get great results that can have a real impact on course playability and profitability.”

After working with their distributors to purchase their desired amount of products, superintendents should to print out a copy of the early order program rebate form. From there, they simply fill out the form and return it via postal mail or email with a copy of their purchase receipt no later than December 1, 2018.
