Goals Soccer Centers Have Found A New Way To Play

Partnering with cities and school districts, Goals is developing symbiotic relationships all over the south. The organization provides financially viable sports facilities to local communities by covering 100% of the development and operational costs in exchange for land.

For most communities, it would be wishful thinking to spend $4 million on a top-notch soccer facility but teaming up with Goals can make their dreams a reality.

Richard M. Sheehan, Ed.D., Superintendent of Schools, Covina-Valley Unified School District, says: “Covina-Valley is extremely excited to partner with Goals to offer our students and community members state-of-the-art facilities. I would like to invite you to stop by Covina-Valley to see what opportunities we have for your family!”

Goals Soccer Centers is the world’s largest and most successful operator of dedicated 5v5 soccer centers, hosting over 160,000 soccer players each week.

In 2010, Goals opened their first US location at South Gate Park in Los Angeles, California. At the opening, the South Gate facility was recognized as an “Outstanding New Sports Facility” by the Southern California Municipal Athletic Federation (SCMAF).

Paul L. Adams, Director of Parks & Recreation, City of South Gate, has nothing but praise for the Goals success model:

“The Goals facility, programs and operating principals fit well within the mission of our Parks & Recreation Department. Their unique 5-a-side game and facilities provides more efficient land use, allowing over 100 players to participate in the same space a normal soccer field would accommodate only 22 players. The smaller fields provide both a faster, more exciting game, while allowing a broader range of ages and fitness levels to participate.

I can confidently say that Goals has been a fantastic partner and an outstanding opportunity for our community. I have been very happy with our relationship and would freely recommend them to any city who is looking for a similar partnership.”

Over the past eight years, the South Gate facility has developed into an epicenter for soccer, serving the local and regional community.

In 2017, Goals formed a strategic 50:50 joint venture with City Football Group – the global soccer group that owns a number of leading football clubs such as Manchester City, New York City and Melbourne City – to grow the Goals brand in the US.

According to Goals CEO Andy Anson the organization’s mission here in California is to:

· Build strong community ties through soccer-based events,

· Empower soccer players in Los Angeles and throughout California, and

· Provide training programs for soccer players of all ages.

So far, Goals has brought their win-win model to three different locations in Southern California, with a fourth site opening in Covina in December 2018.

Promoting soccer and developing facilities for everyone to enjoy is what the team at Goals does best and people all over are embracing their philosophy.

Says Rancho Cucamonga Mayor, L. Dennis Michael, Mayor:

“Goals has been a solid partner to date, and together we are creating an exciting public/private partnership bringing soccer fields and amenities for our community and soccer enthusiasts throughout the Inland Empire to enjoy.”
