Anyone involved in the field of aquatics is invited to participate in updating the Model Aquatic Health Code (MAHC).
The Technical Review Committee (TRC) has completed the review of all proposed MAHC changes received in February. All completed and final Change Request (CR) reviews and revisions are now posted for viewing and commenting.
We invite Member comment for any proposed CR changes.
- We will include summaries of member comments received by Thursday, September 30 at the Conference.
- We will continue to accept comments through October 23 so you can reflect on the Conference CR discussion and still have the opportunity to suggest improvements for two weeks after it ends. Actual voting will start one month after the Conference ends.
- Sign in to the website, download the CR Member Comment form, and send completed forms to info@CMAHC.org.
Only CMAHC Members can submit comments on the CRs. Only CMAHC Members may vote on the proposed changes.
We encourage you to take full advantage of sharing your expertise and providing your input so CRs can be improved following the Conference and before the voting starts one month after the Conference ends. See the Timeline for details. Make the MAHC the best of what the partnership between public health and aquatics can produce.Become a member and share your voice.
At the first Vote on the Code Conference, the MAHC Technical Review Committee will make presentations with their assessments on the key proposed changes to the Model Aquatic Health Code and Member comments. The remaining CRs can be viewed at your leisure before voting.
A preliminary Agenda may be viewed here to learn more about the key CRs that will be discussed; this will include a review of supporting documentation, potential improvements, and a summary of submitted CMAHC Member comments and recommendations. You will have multiple opportunities for caucusing and discussing the CRs. Come back to our website, CMAHC.org, before the meeting to see any updates.
Just a reminder, you can now purchase tickets to attend the Vote on the Code conference, via Live Streaming. Of course, we hope you will attend in person, but if not, Live Streaming provides all the convenience and opportunity to participate in this first meeting to update the Model Aquatic Health Code.
Membership is only $40 for two years. If you are a CMAHC member, we very much appreciate your participation and your support. Please share this email with your colleagues and encourage them to join and attend too.
