Ephesus Lighting Inc. , an LED lighting company in Central New York that designs and manufactures LED lighting solutions for challenging applications in the industrial and sporting markets, has announced a corporate restructuring to ensure it is positioned to manage its rapid growth.

Hayward Industries, Inc. , a supplier of swimming pool products, acquired Poolvergnuegen, a manufacturer and marketer of pool cleaners. The transaction supports the company’s long-term plan for expanding globally and strengthening its product line.

Pentair Aquatic Eco-Systems, Inc. has purchased the assets of Emperor Aquatics, Inc., a supplier of UV disinfection and water filtering solutions. With the addition, the company is well positioned to address the growing concerns over biosecurity in Aquaculture and the increased use of UV disinfection in the pool industry.

Lincoln Aquatics recently updated its logo design. The contemporary design points the way to a new beginning for the company and service to its customers. The company is celebrating its 60 th anniversary in 2014.

APLIX Inc. has been selected by the Synthetic Turf Council Board for STC Certification as a Hook and Loop Material Manufacturer/ Supplier. APLIX’s self-gripping fasteners have been used in numerous synthetic turf applications, including but not limited to professional sporting venues, collegiate athletic fields, state/local recreational facilities, etc.

The Board of Directors for non-profit National Swimming Pool Foundation elected Jim Mock as a board member. He is director of Ecolab’s Aqua Balance Program and has worked for the Plymouth, Minn., company for 39 years.

In the last 20 years, international sale totals at Gold Medal Product have grown 14-fold, creating double-digit increases year after year—thanks in part to David J. Garretson, the newly appointed V.P. of International Sales. Since 1990, Garretson has helped the company’s global presence expand, including large, recent growth in Brazil, Russia, India, and China.

Maggie Daley Corners Climbing Market

Learn and Earn CEU’s Through The NSPF

Colorado Springs, Colo.—Members of nine leading organizations can earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) through a partnership with nonprofit National Swimming Pool Foundation (NSPF):

  • Florida Department of Health

  • Ohio State Board of Sanitarians

  • Aquatic Exercise Association

  • Florida Council of Community Association Managers

  • Community Association Managers International Certification Board

  • National Environmental Health Association

  • Minnesota Department of Health

  • California Department of Public Health

  • Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board

In 2008, the NSPF was approved as an Authorized Provider of CEUs for IACET (International Association for Continuing Education and Training). As a result, all of NSPF courses, including the Certified Pool/Spa Operator Certification course qualify under the ANSI/IACET Standards.
