Hayward Seeking Oldest Salt Cells
Elizabeth, NJ-- To prove the quality and longevity of Hayward salt chlorination cells, Hayward Pool Products has put out a bounty contest. Pool owners who have the oldest genuine Hayward salt cells will be rewarded with one of 40 prizes, totaling over $8,000.
Genuine Hayward salt chlorinators and their salt cells are recognized for their outstanding performance and longevity—chlorinating pools and spas automatically for years. The company is hoping to locate some of the oldest known Hayward cells to use them in creating Hayward’s first Historical Museum. To that end, Hayward will be offering pool owners 40 chances to win some great prizes, including two grand prizes of free salt cells plus $1,000 Visa gift cards; two second place prizes of free salt cells plus $500 Visa gift cards; 16 salt meters for the third place winners; and 20 salt cleaning stands for the fourth place winners. In each case, the prizes will be evenly divided between the oldest salt chlorination cells in the above-ground and in-ground pool categories.
Hayward Director of Marketing Communications Bruce Porter explained that the idea for the contest came about because the longevity of Hayward’s TurboCell and other Hayward-branded salt cells is a huge source of pride among Hayward customers and employees. “We are always hearing from people about how long they’ve owned a Genuine Hayward salt chlorinator and salt cell,” he said. “That’s why these products are number one in the industry. So, we want to reward pool owners for using genuine Hayward salt cells and hopefully for sharing their stories with us.”
Pool owners can enter the contest through December 31, 2013 by going to one of Hayward’s on-line sites:
