Playworld Systems, a manufacturer of playground and fitness equipment, announced the launch of its “Write to Play” playground contest, in which the company will give away two commercial playgrounds.
The contest, which launches today on Playworld Systems’ Facebook page, is open to residents of the continental US, excluding Florida, Rhode Island and New York. To enter participants must like the Playworld Systems Facebook page and complete an online entry form including a brief essay explaining why they want to bring play to their local community. Registrants are also required to upload a photo of where the new playground will be installed.
“We are excited to offer our Facebook fans the opportunity to win one of our playgrounds for their local community,” said Ian Proud, research manager for Playworld Systems. “Our company believes the world needs play and this contest demonstrates our ongoing commitment to spreading the power of play.”
From now until June 24 adults 18 and older can enter to win an early childhood or school age commercial playground for their community. An internal playground team from Playworld Systems will select contest finalists for each age group. Finalists will be announced July 1 and the public will get to vote on the winners. Winners will be announced the week of July 17 on the Playworld Systems Facebook page.
