ValleyCrest Wins PLANET Awards

ValleyCrest has been named the recipient of five Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) Environmental Improvement Awards.

Greg Harbison of ValleyCrest receives his award.

The awards honor landscape and lawn care professionals who execute superior projects, increase public awareness of environmental improvement, and encourage the consistent use of quality materials and workmanship.

Among ValleyCrest’s five honors are three Grand Awards--two for ValleyCrest Landscape Development and one for ValleyCrest Landscape Maintenance.

Grand Award Recipients

Gulf Coast Town Cente r – ValleyCrest Landscape Maintenance Fort Myers/Naples, FL

The Gulf Coast Town Center is a complete shopping experience featuring a village-like setting on over 60 lush acres in Ft. Myers, FL. The center differentiates itself in the marketplace with a landscape designed to enhance the comfortable outdoor shopping and entertainment experience.

The diverse plant palette showcases more than 500 flowering trees and over 400 native and exotic palms, many of which are over 30 feet in height and add a majestic feel.

ValleyCrest’s team also performed construction work including synthetic turf bullpens, batting tunnels, outfield wall padding, infield clay, home plate and all bases, a removable pitcher’s mound and foul ball netting, as well as a full irrigation system.

Sacramento Airport Central Terminal B – ValleyCrest Landscape Development Sacramento, CA

Appropriately nicknamed “The Big Build,” the new Central Terminal B is the largest public construction capital improvement project in Sacramento County to date. ValleyCrest worked as a subcontractor to Austin-Walsh to complete the landscape amenities associated with the terminal, including drainage, hardscape, masonry, irrigation, landscape planting, site furnishings and stormwater management.
