Medina Ice Festival

We would be remiss if we didn't give a shout-out to our hometown's annual ice festival.

Held on Medina, Ohio's, historic town square, the 17th Annual Medina Ice Festival will feature a full weekend of ice carving competition, shopping and visual entertainment.

The schedule:

Friday, Feb. 18

5 p.m. -- Carving Demonstrations

8 p.m. -- Fire and Ice Tower

Saturday, Feb. 19

1 to 4 p.m. -- Individual Carving Competition

4 to 9 p.m. -- Works of Ice Art on View

Sunday, Feb. 20

11 a.m. to 2 p.m. -- Carving Competition

3 p.m. -- Medina Gazette Ice Prince and Princess Crowning

Monday, Feb. 21
