ECORE, a company that transforms reclaimed waste into unique performance surfacing, donated PlayGuard Safety Surfacing to the Lancaster Day Care Center, a non-profit organization in Lancaster, Pa., to replace the mulch which was previously used on the playground.

Jacobsen, a provider of turf equipment, hired Chris Makowski as Territory Sales Manager. Makowski comes to Jacobsen from Toro distributor Grassland Equipment and Irrigation in Rochester, N.Y. where he spent 13 years as a sales representative.

Redexim Turf Products, the factory direct store for Redexim North America, based in Fenton, Mo., has added a new staff member: Michael Moyer of Lamar, Mo. He has extensive experience on both the golf and sports turf sides of grounds keeping.

PlayCore Holdings, Inc. (PlayCore), a designer, manufacturer, and marketer of a broad range of play and recreation products, has acquired Power Systems. Founded in 1986, Power Systems is recognized throughout the sports and fitness industries for its selection of fitness, strength training, and sports conditioning products.

Congratulations to Cre8Play for being selected as one of 11 companies to appear in a web series for their unique entrepreneurship and pioneers of industry. Rain Bird IC Wins Gold For Innovation

Tucson, Ariz.—Rain Bird Corporation—Golf Division announces that the Rain Bird IC Integrated Control System has been recognized by the European Irrigation Association (EIA) as the winner of the 2014 EIA Golf Gold Award.
