Increase Playground Fire Safety

SYNLawn, SYNBermuda 200, and SYNRye 250 have received Class One fire ratings (ASTM E 648), offering increased safety when artificial grass is installed on playgrounds or other fire-sensitive applications.

This SYNLawn artificial turf is designed to be fire resistant.

SYNBermuda 200 and SYNRye 250 are now the only infill-free artificial lawn products deemed to be “fire safe” for installations in both outdoor and indoor settings. Other companies must add infill to their products to make them safe. SYNLawn SYNBermuda 200 and SYNRye 250 are made of an innovative fire-safe nylon requiring no infill.

The tests were conducted by Testing Services International Inc., in full compliance with government (ASTM) standards.

Fire officials have long sought a way to make playgrounds safer for our children in ways that also look and feel more realistic. Recreation departments and school systems can now be confident in using a synthetic lawn product that will enhance the safety of their playground projects.
