FX Luminaire Wins Awards

The Luxor ZD, a new landscape lighting controller from FX Luminaire, was the winner of the 2012 Irrigation Show's People's Choice and Best New Product awards in the specialty category.

Winning products at this show are chosen because they offer professionals new ways to design advanced landscapes and use resources more efficiently.

The Luxor ZD offers both zoning and dimming capabilities.

Zoning allows lights to be programmed into preset vignettes, which can be activated for special occasions such as parties or activities such as barbequing.

Dimming allows lights to automatically emit any desired illumination percentage anytime, anywhere within a system.

The controller accomplishes this because of its ZD Technology, which allows the controller to "talk" to specialized LED lights.

According to Product Manager James Helms, "The lighting industry has been waiting for zoning and dimming from a centralized controller for a long time. It truly gives the designer more freedom than they've ever had. We're thrilled it is getting the recognition it deserves."
