The Grounds Guys

The Grounds Guys, a full-service landscaping and grounds care franchise, will attend the Texas Nursery/Landscape EXPO in Houston, Texas from Aug. 17 – 19, 2012. A franchise representative and current franchise owners will meet with nursery and landscaping professionals at Booth #621 with information about franchise opportunities.

At 1:30 p.m. Aug. 18, CEO and Chairwoman Dina Dwyer-Owens will speak at the expo’s demo stage about her experiences on CBS’ hit show “Undercover Boss” and will show clips from the episode. She will address the importance of incorporating a values system into business, a recurring element in the show. The episode is scheduled to re-air on CBS on Aug. 10 at 7:00 p.m. CT.

The Grounds Guys embraces a “Culture of Care” from the executive level all the way down to the frontline service employees, focusing on customers first, attitude, respect, and enjoying life in the process. They deliver customer satisfaction through a comprehensive range of expert services, including residential and commercial grounds care, lawn maintenance, site enhancement, tree planting and moving, snow and ice removal, and irrigation.

Cade Howard, a 22-year-old entrepreneur whose journey with The Grounds Guys began at last year’s expo, will be on hand at the booth to share his experience.

Since expanding from Canada into the U.S. in 2010, The Grounds Guys has grown rapidly, growing to 70 U.S. franchises from 37 at the end of 2011. The company currently has six locations in Texas, and growth plans include major markets such as Dallas/Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Houston. Each new franchise owner receives comprehensive business systems, customer service training, marketing support, and vendor discounts upon joining. The company also offers franchise discounts for military veterans and former firefighters and law enforcement officers.
