Amenities: Halloran’s free-floating watercolor installations, “Lotus In Motion,” grace gardens such as this one in Vancouver’s Chinatown. Halloran has also collaborated with French designer Eliane Cumet on an exhibition of Lotus en Mouvement for Jardinsjardin, a celebration of design, garden and exterior spaces held at the Tuilieres Garden outside the Louvre in Paris May 31-June 3, 2012. Cumet was a longtime director of PRO URBA, a company recognized in France for its innovation in games, urban furniture and ground surfaces for public spaces. Halloran, known for “Paintings Below Zero,” a public art exhibit in ice, turned to his appreciation of impressionist painter Claude Monet and the French surrealists in creating his lotus leaf paintings for “Lotus in Motion.”
