Toro Teams Up With Twins

Employees of Bloomington, Minn.-based Toro and the Minnesota Twins joined forces Aug. 12 to renovate three multipurpose sports fields at North Commons Park in Minneapolis.

They reset bases, repaired infield and outfield playing surfaces and added outfield fencing and protective fencing in front of players' benches.

More than 75 volunteers from Toro, the Twins, the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board and the community -- along with Minnesota Twins mascot, T.C. Bear -- helped with the project.

North Commons Park is home to the North High School boys’ baseball and girls’ softball teams, and a variety of teams that use the fields during the summer.
