Lifejacket Webinar

The National Note & Float Water Safety Program is offering a lifejacket-use webinar on Thursday, April 7.

The program aims to identify all non-swimmers who enter an aquatic facility, then “float” them with the appropriately sized lifejacket.

This approach helps to provide a workable solution to some of our most daunting challenges: parents who fail to actively watch their children and lifeguards who, for whatever reason, fail to prevent non-swimmers from slipping below the surface.

The webinar will run from 9 to 10:15 a.m. CDT.

Webinar participants will earn one CEU per session.

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

• Identify the risks presented by non-swimmers

• Explain the purpose of “deep end” swim tests

• Identify ways of modifying the program for use at their facilities

• List resources helpful for implementing the Note & Float program

The fee is $29.95 a session per person. Additional members from the same organization will be charged $15. The group viewing rate for unlimited members within an organization is $200.

Register for three webinars and receive a discounted rate of $65.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
